World Cycle Racing Worl Tour
Anyone following this? Pretty amazing how much ground these guys are covering each day and intend on completing to finish.
The inaugural World Cycle Racing Grand Tour started in London. Nine cyclists set off to race around the globe and are given just 154 days, setting off from Greenwich Park and finishing back there before the London Olympics are due to commence on July 27.
They hope to break the world record set by Vin Cox in 2010. It took Brit Vin Cox 163 days to ride 18,000 miles and circumnavigate the globe. And he’s convinced he was slow. Yes, Cox, the 2010 Guinness Book of World Records holder of the fastest ride around the planet, thinks it can be done faster and that riding more than a century every single day for six months straight isn’t enough.
