Morocco-Mauritania-Mali on TV

A 5 part series on our trip from Budapest to Bamako will air on Travel Channel in May. Morocco, Mauritania and Mali will each receive their own episode on the series. In the meantime here's a little teaser:

The Travel Channel airs in Holland as well.
You should check with your cable operator or if you have a satellite dish, you can catch it for sure.

Any Chance?

Any chance you Budapest - Bamako guys would leave less garbage behind? Had the "honor" to follow your tracks from Assa to Smara: truly disgusting! Ok, shooting rockets into the night sky at the base camp just out of Assa, Ok utterly destroying the pistes that some people (the local nomads) actually use for work and living, Ok a car getting smashed in the middle of a perfectly flat salt pan before Hawza, but do you really have to throw EVERYTHING throught the window as you go!? Looks like a southbound locust plague. Unbelivable!

MORO

Do you have any photos of this disgusting behavior by competitors. If your allegations are true, the organizers should be held responsible for the cleanup.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
