lost gps at the adventure film festival devon uk

Went to Austins adventure film fest this weekend and had a great time, it was good catch up with familiar faces, make some new friends and off-course enjoy the entertainment organized be Austin and crew.
Unfortunately a personal damper on the weekend for me was loosing of my garmin zumo 550. I’m just about to go on an adventure holiday and loosing the gps is an expense that will make a shoestring budget very difficult. Please please please if you found my gps get in touch, it would be great to get it back.

I'm impressed you managed to get home without it........

Can I suggest you look at this as an opportunity to learn to live without it ?

Maps work very well, add a compass and you get all the kit you need. You then have the added bonus of never finding yourself in the middle of a field of cows :-).

I agree with you that travelling without a GPS is possible and nicer by using a map (I myself own a Zumo 550 and been riding the Caucasus without it last year only using paper maps and asking directions to the locals), but we are always talking about a considerable amount of money...
At least it would be "considerable" for me.
And I would be upset too, in case I had to lose it...
