London - South Africa easy overlanding implied by 'The Sun' newspaper!!

How to get to South Africa | The Sun |Sport|Football
How many England football fans will load up thier Ford fiestas for next Junes World Cup finals with this facinating idea from The Sun? London(Wembley) to Algeciras 1,508.7miles = 1day 1hr 34mins!. Complete trip to South Africa about 2 weeks.
Perhaps any interested drivers should sign up on 'horizons' and read Lois' book 'Red Tape and white Knuckles' before June!.
If its in 'The Sun' it must be true and therefore easily doable. The tales from any Sun readers and 'tourists' will definatly be interesting!
:rofl:

Look on the bright side, for those few weeks the country's average IQ is going to be higher.

What's the follow up, Mirror headline; THE SUN RUINED MY WORLD CUP by Brits lost in the Sahara- We ran out of beer on day four......?

Fick Mick from Merseyside enquired about the motorway speed limits through Africa and if it is easy to cash his Giro whilst away?
(I can see this thread going to 'the bar'!)

Hahahaha, shouldn't laugh really, how many idiots will try this :confused1:

Silly reporter - surely he must realise it is a well nigh impossible journey.

Afterall, Ewan and Thingy did it despite encountering every imaginable (or is the word imagined?) difficulty!

I wish 'em luck

I really wish anyone who tries this the greatest of luck:

One muppet sets out with no planning or preparation but a bucketload of complacency and has to be rescued (full and graphic coverage in the Sun of course);

Every politician in the country, possibly the whole EU, feels the need to be seen to do something, anything;

by spring 2011 you'll need to have gone on a government approved survival course (no use at all, but it will cost a fortune) before travelling more than 50 miles from your own front door.

Anything with the potential to thin out a few Sun readers from the gene pool has to be a good thing...

Matt :)
