Here in South China, most of the people ride with a crappy helmet or without. They barely go faster than 50 km/h and the heat and humidity make the helmet really uncomfortable.

I do the same time to time when I go for a short ride. Frankly it really feels good to ride lidless.

Used to do it all the time back when I was young and indestructable. Wouldn't do it now.

I'm always good at wearing a helmet, but when I rode from Kathmandu to Varanasi, I did it without a helmet. Only wearing the almost-a-fez hat that old men wear in Nepal. Slow speeds, and I know it's dangerous, but it was still fun.
