Let the mid-life crisis begin...

My birth certificate says I'm 50... how did that happen?

Congrats on the milestone. A person can count on a few things in life, one of them being the increasing velocity of birthdays as the years pass. It can seem a bit surreal at times.

Are you travelling on a postie bike? Seems like a cool way to travel Oz.

Thanks MM. 50 still feels like 26.

I'm two months in - done Vic and Tassie and now packing for Part 2... west to the Centre. It is indeed a fabulous way to travel and I'm enjoying it immensely.

I read the Lone Posties trip when he first set off in 2009 - inspiring.

Congrats on hitting 50 , but I hate to have to tell you that your midlife is now behind you and you are officially now old.

Based on man living "3 score years and 10" (70) and giving you another 5 years for good luck (total 75) means the 3 phases of life are:

0-25 YOUTH
26-50 MID LIFE
50+ OLD AGE

..... don't feel too bad, you're still close to a decade younger than me.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
