Well I've ridden some 250,000 miles in North America. Plus around another thousand on my birthday week when I turned 50 in Costa Rica. And there was that day I rented a Vespa in Rome and rode to the lido and down to Anzio then back to Rome.
So not so much then.Compared to others. Then a whole lot then compared to others.
The main thing is I want more. I'll look at maps and plan trips in hopes that the stars aline and off I'll go.

Right now I'm in a career holding-pattern, which I'd gladly douse in petrol and walk away from if the right offer of seeing the world without making a loss came by. I'm still working on how to make this happen on my motorbike... - ideas? :)

Chris Bright did an excellent talk at Ripley once , where he reminded us all of the countries which you could fly to and then rent a bike.

Loads of places to visit and ride through.

A month long trip from Melbourne to Cape York and back wet the appetite. Met the misses on that trip and now she is coming with me on the next 3.5 month trip around Europe.

I would like to say a long trip guy after this but I think the "responsibilities" will get in the way of that..

The length of your trip doesnt make it any less of an adventure. An adventure is all in your head anyway.

Personally, I do small trips about twice a year and strive to do a big, expensive 6 month + adventure trip every 2-3 years.

I (like many here) would spend my life travelling the world on 2 wheels but sadly I have to work, scrimp and save to afford the smaller trips, let alone the bigger ones.

My last large trip cost the earth but was totally life changing. The problem with doing a long demanding adventure is that you will come home and think of nothing else... It will control you !! :cool4:
