Help Confused with all info

Hi every one,

Hope someone can help. I'm confused with how to find information on here.

Basicly I need to know what paperwork I need to travel in Europe and Scandinavia? I'm a UK passport holder, riding a F800gs with camping equipment and cloths, camera and helmet cam.

I just want to do Europe as a trial run, maybe find some work along the way. Do I need a work visa for all the countries I'll be visiting?

Thanks Mark

Hello Mark,

Just your PP, V5 Log book, bike insurance - no need for the green card but inform your insurer of the dates you are away. NHS European health card from the post office. Rac, Green flag or AA brealdown cover and if you fancy it - travel insurance.

That would see you sorted right out.

Have a great time

Paul

You need a green card if something happens. Or if you are asked to prove that you have an insurance.

I didnt know about a green card, so used google. It seems to read that it is not needed for EU countries.

If you look on the back (or front ) of your insurance certificate it may tell you which countries it covers (replaces the old green card) and it may say that in a number of different languages too. :-)

Check with any of the UK motoring organisations such as AA or RAC and they will tell you exactly what you need in terms of insurance, breakdown kit, first aid kit etc etc etc.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
