Implications for addressee

Hi I intend to buy vehicle in Arizona. Then start travel to Central/South America. Do I need an address in USA for the purchase/registration/insurance of the vehicle. "What are the implications for the addressee in the USA". The vehicle will then most probably be shipped from Brazil to South Africa.
Thanks
Walt

You should ask this question in relevant forum, probably the North America one.

I'll assume you are UK/Europe based ?

From my POV if you are going to the hassle of buying a bike in the USA to save money/hassle, don't

Ship your own over, then you have all the correct docs for the border etc.

If you take your own bike, you know it and all its foibles before you leave.

Also, and I apologise to our American cousins if this upsets them..... not all countries like the USA.

IMO, if they see a US plate there will be extra issues. (from Police etc).

In our experience the UK plates have been an item of curiosity (USA and Latin America).
