you might try redline 85 Plus cetane booster, added to not the best diesel... and you can feel the difference! works well in my 330d!

I'm sure the same make and model of car as yours exists throughout Europe .....

And I'm sure the people that own them drive them .....

and I'm pretty sure they have diesel in Europe!

What a bizzare question:confused1:

by the way, I suspect European Diesel is a lot better than UK diesel as I consistently get better MPG in continental Europe, including (especially!) in my 530D that I used to have

You best not, you know what these uncivilised johnny-foreigners are like; who knows what muck they'll try to sell you instead of diesel ?

Better to stay at home.

If in doubt and for peace of mind you could always tow a trailer full of vpower. If that's not an option you should consider going with what they have on the forecourt. You'll be surprised to find that they too sell different grades of diesel (possibly even vpower) and you'll be even more surprised to find that your car will NOT explode if it doesn't get vpower.
Live dangerously......the adrenalin rush of using a different diesel will be worth it!!

I always live dangerously in Europe. I once travelled by bike and didn't change the LHD setting to RHD. Had a blast.

Or even buy an older car....my Toyota surf runs better on cooking oil than diesel with no mods required. Smells like a chip shop on wheels. Not sure if it's legal in euroland, but it's alot cheaper and there is fuel stops in every village shop..

I've heard people say this but where we are, cooking oil isn't much cheaper than diesel. I guess its different for you, or do you use used oil, but if so how do you clean it up?

Now there's a can of worms just waiting to be opened. Apparently there are a lot of different ways to do it.

Can of worms? Is it contentious? I know in the UK it's legal to use cooking oil or anything else in your vehicle as long as you inform HMRC and pay the requisite amount of tax based on how much you use.

That makes using full price new cooking oil hardly worth it, but very cheap or free used oil could work if its not too hard or expensive to clean it.

I'm all ears as to how to do it

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
