Ewen´s Long Way Doggy style with hack

Ewen has just announced he is considering doing south america solo[well with support team] and his dog SID instead of charley. He has trained his furry friend to sit in the sidecar. Apparently he owns a Watsonian GP 700 sidecar.

The dog is not available for comments but is already taking offers for spinoffs.:thumbup1:

Cant wait for the new pages in the Touratech catalogue.

Lazer etched titanium doggy bowls and electric 12v doggy toothbrushes. Only £600 for the set... BARGAIN !!

Ripley the year after that should be fun too. Everyone will be carrying around little dogs in their tank bags. As of course, every celebrity fashion accessory must be replicated to "The book" (ie Touratwat catalogue).

Somewhere along the last 13,000 miles of Latin American roads I saw an overlander carrying a dog stuffed into a plastic 5 gallon (that's 20 liter) pail lashed to his back rack. The lid had a cutout which neatly fit the dog's neck, and it appeared to be sitting there willingly (though who knows what it perceived as alternatives?). Sorry I can't remember more details, and sorry I (as usual) neglected to document on film.

Ewan, characteristically, is a dollar short and a day late. Plus, he's way overdue to lose the support wagon and hit the road with his dignity intact.

A bit harsh me thinks on the Mrs McG. The dog will certainly provide more entertainment and intellectual dialogue than Ewan's previous riding buddy.

What bike/dog combo will Ewan choose?

Damn, you got there before me, although at 3 hours apart and a load of views in between, maybe we're the only two on here with filthy minds?

I think it's ok. Either way we're all open minded aren't we? So it's a fact: GS riders have their own style: Dog rides, pillion follows from the rear.:confused1:

Chris
PS. Wonder how long his rear bevel drive bearing will last :blushing:

Think it has been done, at HU meeting Canada 2007 had person on a hack with a dog he saved on the ride down in Mexico. And in California HU meeting a person (Erick) built a small dog box on the back of his dl650. Then there is the beemer chef [url=http://theoasisofmysoul.com/]The Oasis Of My Soul
