Ready(ish) to go!

I am packed and sorted, ready to go and get some bread, and pass by Cape Town on the way.

Here's a few photos, if anyone is interested.

I packed my sack, and in it I put....

The fully loaded kitten, in all her glory. Honda Uk have done a fantastic job, and replaced just about everything that could possibly go wrong. Shiny. It had just come back from Grantham Honda, who couldn't have been more generous or helpful to me. I'm setting off from their store on Friday morn, their tea lady has even promised to do me a fry up and a pack up before I go!

The panniers are for consumables such as water and food, as well as cheap unattractive items such as my flip flops and dirty socks.
The duffle has all my clothes and sleeping kit in, as well as med kit and washbag.
The tank bag has all my docs and other like well important shizzle in.
The back box has spares.

A close up of the shortened seat, and the auxilliary tank that I've put on to up my range to 300 miles. Note very home made pannier brackets.

I think that is clear attempt by the cat to disguise itself as a piece of luggage!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
