Corsica Visit in October 2010. Any Tips?

My wife and I will be in Corsica for a week arriving on the 21st October 2010 and would appreciate any tips on where to head for and places to stay, Hotel or Villa.

Was looking at staying South around Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio, but openminded and may take the ferry to Sardinia for a couple of days.

I've been in Corsica 4 times in the past. I suggest you to ride the Cap Corse (North) and then follow the coast until Porto (West). For me that's still the most beautiful part! Go on to Corte (center) and head down to Bonifacio.
We stayed here :HOTEL MALONI a SAINT FLORENT PROCHE CAP CORSE, BASTIA et PATRIMONIO
Owners are bikers too, no 5 stars but cheap and familiar atmosphere.

Great tip and the sounds great. Looked up Hotel Maloni and it looks great as we will just tour round the whole island.
