Chris Scott is not any bit of an idiot

Fellow Travellers,

All good?

Current issue of Bike Magazine features an interview with Charley Boorman, Nick Sanders and, er, me, in which I apparently refer to the intrepid Chris Scott as 'a bit of an idiot'. Without chuckling context, without the qualifying 'just like me', this sounds unkind. Which is ironic, because I only brought up Chris to cite him as an unparalleled, independent inspiration whose sandy missions, whether successful or disastrous, were vital to untying me from the corner of the room.

So - Chris Scott, I apologise unreservedly if that read out-of-context rude - - you are a DIY inspiration, and not a bit of an idiot. Unlike me...

I would not worry about it if I were you, no one over the age of 18 reads Bike anymore.

:-)

I think I actually read it when I was 22 but that was only for the cartoon on the back :Beach:

I was bought a subscription for Christmas by my sister in law. I liked the socks, jumper with a huge reindeer on the front and soap on a rope they got me though. Now I'm sort of impresed she thought of me as being 17.
