can i lower 1998 Tenere XTZ660? "Going Home, Melb - Blr, India by long way around"
 

Folks,
Brought a 1998 Tenere XTZ660 off the net. Awesome bike, well looked after.
After taking 600km trip across Victoria, my feelings are divided.
beautiful machine, lots of power, very nice to handle on road. however, i'm too short for it. Bit too heavy for me. Dropped twice, at low speed. Picking up was a task!...even with lifting with back facing the bike.
so, thinking of changing to bit smaller bike...height and CC...lets see.
i'm 5'7 and 67kg with slim build.....big ambition!

any advice...on either
Lowering the bike..or more suitable for my height bike?
Planning to travel Melbourne - Bangalore in March

Yes just buy a lowering kit, (ebay?) and it fits on the bottom of the rear shock, 2 bolts. They come in different lengths, I fitted a 3 cm one and worked brilliantly.
