In Bruges, Belgium 23rd and 24th June

Hi All :mchappy:

After watching the film "In Bruges" (the idea worked) my wife agreed to a trip there instead of Devon, as our 10 year old is at camp in Wales this week.

We will stay at the Bikers Hotel in Ostende www.grd.be on Wednesday night, but would like to ask for a tip on where to stay in Bruges tomorrow night, which will be Tuesday. A double room with secure bike parking for the old Pan and in town.

Also any idea of any good lively rock pubs, with live music, seafood restaurants and general places to see while we are there for our short break.

Will be heading back via Veurne to visit a freind's bike shop www.delvabikes.be and then back to Dunkerque for the ferry back to Dover.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

I suggest you avoid any tall clocktowers.

I've never been to Bruges but I'm sure you'll have a whale of a time. Good luck

Hi Mig :mchappy:

We did and what a great place, especially the Tower! Fancies doing a base jump, but the Missus didn't think it a good idea!

Saw a Boss Hoss at the Bike Hotel in Ostende, so that made it worth the trip. What a ridiculous, but oh so necessary bike. Sat on it and revved it and nearly flew off the other side due to the 6" torque reaction from the 6.7 litre V8!!! Mad!

He was on his way to a BH rally in Germany and e mailed me on his return to say there was a twin turbo 10.1 litre Boss Hoss there with 1100 BHP!!!

Cheers

Hi :mchappy:

We stayed at this Hotel, about 10 mins from the square: Hotel Biskajer. Very nice and we had a walk round most of the town that evening and the best place was the market the next morning, with fresh produce that the marketeers of Banbury can only dream about.

We then rode up to Den Haan beach for a lolly and then to the Bike Hotel near Ostende.

Nice break and only possible as the 10 year old was on a 3 day school camp.

Nice to hear from you.

Cheers

Chris
