Bikers' bad habits!
 

Most of the time, Bikers generally drink coffee or liquor or have a sigarette during their stopovers.

Well, I don't! Should I still consider myself a biker? :(

Blimey Alessandro, no coffee, cigarettes, booze - you may not live any longer than the rest of us but it'll certainly feel like it. :rofl:

I see...that's why to be part of the group and try to preserve my place in it, I get used to drink Redbull!!

Red Bull?!? Worst bad habit ever! ;) I did that mistake some years back in Albania when it was hotter than hell. + 45 - 47 degrees C. I started to drink Red Bull so I would not fall asleep on the bike in the heat. Started with one per day. Then I had two and three and four each day. Then some days later we passed the Austrian border and things started to cool down. And I stopped drinking Red Bull. I´ve never been so sick in my whole life! Cold turkey!!! Spent two days at a hotel sleeping and throwing up and not much more than that. Third day I had a strong headache but could actually go for a walk but slept for 12 hours that day. I could ride my bike on the forth day but I still felt weak so I took it easy..... I won´t drink Red Bull ever again! At least not 4 or 5 per day for a week. I´ve NEVER been so sick! I did not even drink coffee back then. Started with coffee some 9 months ago at age 47. :D

often see people in A&E with palpitations after too much redbull. especially dangerous for children.

i think what makes you a biker is having a bike, and actually riding it...
i guess my bad habit is wearing finger-less gloves while riding. i know i shouldn't but now i used to it i cant stand having fingers in them...

No Problemo Amigo! Just make sure when you hit the ground you don't put your hands out to break your fall! Maybe face first? Like the folks with Beanie open face helmets. YIKES!

Red Bull, Monster Energy, Rock Star ... all are pretty much legal crack for kids. Closest thing to pure Methamphetamine you can get and not go to jail ... whose results I saw plenty back in the 60's. Not only does it cause serious personality disorders (if over used) but it rots TEETH big time.

Back to original point:
My question is: What the HELL would an Italian do if he couldn't smoke and drink Coffee at every stop? It'd be like tying his hands to his sides and putting a gag in this mouth! doh Mama Mia! :rofl:

I don't always go ATGATT either. Short trips I'll wear jeans with no armor.
Bad idea, I know. On a "real" ride, I'm always fully ATGATT. I never drink Coffee late in the day ... unless I want to be up all night. :eek3:

I have heard a rumour that some bikers also DRIVE A CAR! I personally refuse to believe that any of us would take part in such a shameful activity but the rumour persists.

I feel SOOOO ashamed, I am guilty of being an occasional car-driver! Might as well come clean about the compulsive coffee-drinking and dark chocolate-munching as well.:blushing:

My answer is: you have another one in front of you!
I'm 100% Italian (from the north), but:

- I don't smoke;
- I don't like coffee;
- I don't like Italian wine






I do love Belgian beer, so I am a good consumer of La Chouffe, Gulden Draak, Gouden Carolus, La Trappe, Bière du Boucanier, St. Bernardus, Trappistes Rochefort and good stuff like that, but I do not dislike (going to the north-west) also Guinness, Kilkenny, Harp, London Porter, London Pride, Hobgoblin, Traquair House Ale,... jeiger

Of course I do this when I don't ride, but in those moments... Red Bull! :mchappy:

Yes ... all good amici, but can you talk with your hands tied to your sides after drinking two Red Bull? :welcome: :D

I'm Irish ... and I fall into most of the stereotypical Irish trappings, save Whiskey and Guinness, neither of which I care for.

Once every 2 weeks I drive a cage to get my kids around
I often ride ride in a T shirt, shorts, and veldskoene
I stop at pubs
I cruise at 160 kmh
I dont give a stuff what people think
