Bike stolen today in Kyiv, Ukraine

Hi not sure if this is exactly the right place, but my friends bike was stolen in kyiv today.
Drz 400 with irish plate 05WH4941 and the chassis / frame number is JS1BC111100102829.
Photo hopefully attached.
We are on the way to magadan, they were locked together. They cut and stole one.
Police have turned up promptly and are taking it seriously but we are checking all avenues however slim the chances are!

Feel free to repost anywhere.

Thanks
Byron

Look in the dodgy areas and ask a half friendly looking, dodgy looking fecker if he might know where a stolen bike might end up, you never know who he knows.
An article in a local paper has worked for some in the past.
Get on local radio and biker sites in Ukraine.

Hope she turns up safe.

How about offering a reward??

Quite likely the guy that stole it may claim he found it and would rather have some cash than a hot potato on his hands..at least you may get the bike back.

Kyiv Moto help were contacted when they spread the word looking for cash in return for the bike. A couple of the local bikers turned up as help when myself and one of them went to the place. They wanted the cash left with no proof of the bike though so not worth it.

Its not looking good on retrieving it unfortunately. Slim hope it will be spotted as there isnt too many dual sports or even bikes around.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
