Anyone see 'Ray Mears Goes Walkabout'?

Watched this on BBC2 (on demand) last night. Fascinating. Some interesting desert driving/survival tips, exploration history and some great photography of the outback. And how cool was that sun powered fire lighter which he used to light the roo-dung?!

Oz definately on my 'to do' list after that!

I always seemed to think for a long time that he was in the Army/SAS or something, just like that Bare Grills(sic) bloke. Recently found out he wasn't at all.

There are some great spoof versions on you tube the best ive found is ray goes to wimberly woods or something along that title. look it up its well worth the laugh.

Ray vs Bear that would be a good survival shootout only Ray doesnt just shit in the woods he sleeps in them too. sorry Bear maximum respect for the Everest paraglide mission even if you dont like sleeping in the bush.
