Anyone from the North east of the UK ?

Hi all

Im just wondering if anyone has a DR650 in the north east of uk that would fancy meeting for a coffee n biscuits

I currently have a DR250 and Im not sure if its big enough for a RWT I have planned for 2012

Cheers

Hi Will
I don't have a DR650 but I do have a DR250 like you!
I'm in Leeds but always riding around Yorkshire if you fancy a coffee. I have a bigger road bike for longer distances too.

A CBF1000 - although currently considering getting something different....

Have you considered a Yam XT600e?

Pretty bombproof and quite easy to get hold of. I think you may find a 250 hard work for a RTW.

Dan Ive thrown my leg over lots of bikes... but being close to being a dwarf ! it sorts of limits me.....

Ive been practising picking up my wee strom today.. no problems with my panniers half full... so next week going to practise with it fully loaded :helpsmilie:

If I can manage it then I think I will look at beefing up the strom and taking that

Dr400z

Have you considered the DR400Z?

Rugged enough for just about anything, a firm favorite with travellers ( I believe Austin Vince has said it is THE long distance travel bike), if you want you can probably get a lowering link for it and a Suzuki which you are familiar with.

hi Dan

I attempted to climb a DR400 last week lol.... stepladders would have been good !

Ive now found out that you can lower them by 4 inches ?

at this moment in time... I think I will be taking my trusty wee strom (ive put 30 k miles on her in under 3 years).... just need to beef things up a bit :-)

Hi Will

I'm with you on the Wee Strom ,I had mine down to the Spanish Pyrenees this year and it 's such a great all rounder, covers long distances no probs and dead versatile when you get there .Admittedly it can't quite compete off road with the likes of the DR s but as an overall package I think it takes some beating. If you fancy a coffee and a chat somtime I'm in Durham.

Doh!

I mean DRZ400e.

Still, if you've decided on the V-strom its not an issue!

The NE of the UK is around Caithness.

You mean NE England which is only a bit of the UK. Uk means United Kingdom, not England.

There! now you know where you live.
