April 20th, Cairo, 8.50am - 24 degrees and sunny, raising to 30 deg today. Forecast in the next three days up to 41 degrees.

Charente, France, sort of half way down.
Raining, as it has done virtually every day for the last month.
Nice and sunny yesterday though.
About 10C at a guess.

Winter drags on - can I blame El Nino?
 

It seems that the whole of the Northern hemisphere has had a long, cold(ish), snowy winter.
Any news TV report I have seen from Canada in the recent past has had big snow drifts in the background, but the roads were clear.

Big dumps of snow in the mountains of Asia with avalanches in, for instance, Kyrgistan. Good snow/skiing in Europe with a long season, so it's not all bad.

It's still cold in the UK with the Easterly wind originating out of further north.
