Vibrations begone!

Having a bit of a vibration crisis here. New XT660Z Ténéré with Touratech handprotectors. Unfortunately they require taking off the original weights and thus allow vibrations to bother me big time. Everything's perfectly fine until about 3.800-4.000rpm, which is somewhere between 95-100 km/h in fifth gear. After that it get's increasingly annoying and my hands get all tingly (no pun intended... :innocent:).

I tried to put some rubber (old tire tube) between the handlebars and the mounts, which did help but also resulted in all four screws loosening within less than 30 kilometers. Any other ideas what else I could try?

I have the same problem with my F650 Funduro. I often find that my little fingers go numb after a while  I was thinking about putting some rubber in the handlebar mounts, but having read what you have said, would welcome other ideas ?

Try lead shot or silicon sealant in the bars, the shot will be easiest to remove if no good...

Use steel expanding Rawl bolts in the ends of the 'bars, they'll do the job of the 'bar end weights.

you used to be able to get bar snakes - a length of rubber rod to slide down the inside of the bars. no idea if it worked...

Noticed in another forum this same issue, solution suggested was to add extra heavy weights from barkbuster.

just get some longer screws and put the bar weights on the outside of the handguards
