spoke mod

Is there any advantage to be gained from linking your spokes together with tyraps.doe,s it help in adding extra strength to the wheel?

Short answer NO, it don't strengthen them.

The idea used to be on dirt bikes (back in the day) where there was every chance of breaking a few in a race - and this just stopped them getting stuck in the chain or somewhere else!
