I did a bit of plastic welding on my fairing over the weekend and I want to touch up the paint now. I don't want to spray the whole panel because I'd have to buy new stickers. The fairing is light metallic grey and the welds are black, so maybe I'll need to undercoat it. I'm going to get the paint matched and put in a spray can (Kawasaki = no paint codes). What's the best way to go about it? In the past, whenever I've touched up bodywork, I've never been able to get the new laquer to fade over the old properly, and it's always looked terrible.
