Motorcycle self-service in Las Vegas

A quick update following my quest to find a place in Las Vegas to do an oil change. I found a place called Cyclube close to the airport. I called and asked to do my own oil change, which was fine. The owner, Rich, helped me put the bike on one of his lifts, gave me a rag and oil pan and let me be. I had earlier talked to him and decided to buy my oil from him. He has all the usual suspects, dino or synthetic.

His main business is "quick lube" oil changes for bikes, mainly Harleys, where you can roll in sans appointment and be on the road after 30 mins with new oil and filter. Open Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 1.

He will also accommodate doing the work yourself, bringing your own oil or buying his, whatever works. In addition, if you coming through and want to ship tires or parts, give him a ring and he’ll collect them for you. A tire machine is on the way, but you can always change tires there by hand as well.

The second part of the business is Harley leases, daily or longer. A fleet of about 12 bikes. Very down to earth and easy to deal with. I paid a $10 fee (lift and oil disposal).

All in all a great resource to put on the radar.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
