Can I make a slick saddle sticky?
I bought a Corbin saddle, but it is the leather kind (not the newer gripper style) so the leather is very slick. Anyone got any ideas to make it not as slick? I obviously don't want to ruin a 400 dollar seat (although I got it for 250) I thought of buffing it with sandpaper and making it nubuck, but that may ruin it's weatherization. Any ideas?

Think about it the other way; leave your saddle as it is and get some grippy material sewn to the seat of your riding pants.
Most MX or Enduro pants have a patch of leather or fake leather in the crotch and arse area to help with grip.

you can buy "sticky" or "grippy" rubber material ( looks a little like lace) in beige, black and white. it is available for about A DOLLAR OR TWO A ROLL
I think it is also used to stop rugs from slipping. put some of that ion your seat and you will stick like anything!

I have never tried it, on a seat, but surfers use "sexwax" for added friction on their boards.
Wax is used for Belstaff water proof jackets so it might even improve your seat too.
