wee strom abs ?
 

i am planning my big european tour this summer, scotland to turkey and all points in between, and have decided to buy a suzuki 650 v strom. i am not planning on any serious off road stuff , as i have never had a bike with abs brakes before, can anyone tell me is it really worth the few extra hundred pounds ? . i can get a new non abs strom for £4995 or a 2007 abs model for £5400 . . also how does the abs affect riding on dirt or gravel roads. thank,s .

It has its place, especially in the City in the wet,

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with the abs system used on this bike AND if it can be switched off for dirt road riding .

I've not seen an ABS model yet.

You can't switch it off as it comes from the fatory, but there are two fuses that feed it. Rigging a switch would be easy.
