Water Cooled Suzuki DR 650 SE
Hi, Folks.I see where a guy is selling a 2001 water cooled Suzuki DR 650. I'm looking for a bike, and since I know very little about them, I thought I'd ask if any of you were familiar with this beastie. Specifically, is it worth having, assuming everything else is ok? Feedback would be appreciated!

It could be that he's seen an oil cooler and assumed the bike must be watercooled as it has a "radiator"? You only have to see some of the mis-represented bikes on Ebay to realise that many owners have zero knowledge of their bikes.

watercooled DR650's
Agree. Water cooling of DR650's only happens during occasional river crossings. Besides that it's a combination of air cooling for the barrel and oil cooling for the cylinder head.
Make sure it's really a 2001 DR650SE and buy. Fantastic bike. I love them best amongst my fleet of bikes and they are very tough and reliable. |
