To whom it may concern...

Hello all,

I thought it would be good to post some pics of older Suzuki's that have been fixed up/restored. I know that when I was feeling a bit defeated, seeing a polished 70's model TS would always get me back on my feet. As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words, so the more the merrier. Please post pics and details of your trophy Zuke! I'm sure works in progress would also be interesting to see.

To get the ball rolling, here's some images of my 1982 ts185. The carb and motor have been rebuilt (1.00mm overbore) and the fairings and tank have been painted with dark yellow two pack paint. Everything is stock except for the oversized piston. It's my daily ride and it's a hellova lot of fun :thumbup1:.

Come one come all :welcome: !!!

Very nice! I'm not a Zukee man myself but I can appreciate a pretty sight nevertheless. Good job!

The body work looks good but what about the rest? If you're doing a full restore .... why not pull it all apart and do the motor (bead blast, powder coat re-paint), frame, triple clamps .... whatever.

When you're done, maybe Jay Leno will buy it! :welcome:

How does the bike ride? I borrowed one like this back in the 70's. FAST!

Thanks for the comments guys. It could definately do with a respray of the frame, but for the time being i'm spending as much time riding it as i can. Gotta love the down low torque of the TS! :funmeteryes:

Well, after sinking my trusty ts in a "puddle" that would put the English channel to shame, i decided to do a rebuild. From the ground up, everything was painted and replaced as necessary. Here she is...
