Throttle hesitation

I have a 2009 DR 650 and it only has about 500 kms at the moment
but it now seems to have a slight hesitation if I give the thottle small
quick crank on the throttle if I give a bigger crank on the throttle it
still has the hesitation at the begining.
But I don't like the hesitation does anyone know what is causing this
and what to do about it.?

Hi

Hey. I often get this just after starting my bike when its been left for a few days (crappy 125 engine). Anyway I tightened the throttle pin in to give a higher idle RPM (more gas to warm the engine up without revving). I also free wheel down my back lane for 50m and this works wonders for waking the engine up.

It could also be your throttle cable coming loose in the handlebar mounting.

Hope this goes some way to helping with your problem (bumping the thread lol)

Check sure the airbox intake isn't blocked, I fitted an alarm to mine and the only place the box would fit was right next to the snorkel and it then ran like crap until I pulled out the snorkel so it could breath better.

erm, single cylinder bike of low capacity. and you think throttle response is slow. and it's new.

what are you used to? my ZX6R has slow throttle response below 9000 rpm. My old tt600r just has slow throttle response. My DL1000 has slow throttle everywhere.

is it slow compared to another DR 650, or slow compared to your last bike/expectations?

just re-read, and come on, 500 kms? that's only to get breakfast. go and do something, then work out if it's slow....

Thanks for all the response

I have a couple of Dr 650 and this is the only one that does this.
The thing is it only started doing this the other day.
