Repair Manuals??
I recently bought a 96 DR 650, but can't find a repair manual for it anywhere! I don't think Clymer or Haynes makes one. Does anybody have any advice or can prove me wrong??!! I need to know basic maintenence procedures like chain tightening, oil capacity etc.

These bikes haven't changed much since '96. Also check out the DR650 thread on advrider for tons more info.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but neither Haynes nor Clymer makes a manual for the DR. The service manual is useful but does assume fair mechanical knowledge on the part of the user.

If you haven't, subscribe to the DR 650 group on Yahoo. Another decent source of maintenance and other tips along with the advrider thread.

Question
So, if your DR is first registered in 96, is it an SE model or earlier? It makes a big difference.
