Drz400sm Charging Problems
Hi, has anyone who rides a DRZ400SM had trouble with keeping their battery charged up, "using only the bikes charging circuit! I was told today it was a common problem with them.
I had to get a fancy charger today "hope this helps out £'s, and don't mind using it if its the norm. Thing is the shop I got my bike from said they would sort it no matter what (Suzuki York," cant fault them for service!) ............I don't want to waste their money or mine if its a common problem and only to return in the near future! would a different type of battery help, is there one which holds a bigger charge, the one I have is Yuasa Thanks for any input Jim |

See this Thumpertalk thread about low battery symptoms (poor connections and thin wires cause electric loss):
Free Power (Electrical that is) - ThumperTalk Measure voltage on battery when you motor is running, perhaps that is too low. Mine '07 S gives 14,3 volts at idle, that is pretty good (stock wiring). |
