According to the manual Suzuki ss-05 at 165mm (6.5 in) each fork capacity is 709 ml

I know ss-08 is 10 wt, so my GUESS is 7.5, however if you weigh more etc a heavier weight or more fork oil may be preferred, its up to you. I run 10 wt at 100 mm but am well over 200 lbs. Also I have heavier springs and not riding in the sand.

I posted this question on thumpertalk as well and have ended up with 7.5wt 122mm down from the top of the forks when fully compressed without springs. I have to say, they still dont feel too plush, which is a bit odd for a 1000 mile 2003 bike......maybe I'm getting a lock in them. I may try to empty a little out after a few days if its still not so good on the piste....

Anyway, the bike was dropped off today and will be leaving for Africa pretty soon. I'll be joining it next week and I'll let uou know how it goes.

As usual, MANY thanks for all the advice! Thats a couple of s I owe you now!!!
