DR650 front wheel hubs

Does anyone happen to know if the front hub on DR650s was the same before the mid-90s weight-saving makeover?

I'm looking for a hub to fit a late-90s DR650 fork, but all the front wheels I see seem to be older. Not sure if it matters.

thanks

Sorry Chris, I can't help with the hubs but I'm sure I saw somewhere on here you were thinking of running 19" wheels (is this part of the project?), this is something I've thought about for some time, I have an old A/T with increasingly ethereal rims and considering the rebuild options; 17/21, 18/21 or 19/19. I would like to know what tyre options you've got, if you are going 19"

Yes identical 19/19 is my plan. I like the flat track look (saw the light after watching On Any Sunday at Ripley this year).
Same spare tyre/tube fits all, and more can be found where there are Bullets.

Have not really thought about which tyres, anything will do me. There are a few likely Dunlops here. The K70 looks good. I think my first desert bike ran those 30 years ago! @ 18/19 (see pic).
Not sure a 19" K70 is up to the weight and power of an AT, though.
TT100 may be better, also a good tyre back in the day.

Fyi a lot of late 80s early 90s bikes ran front 19s before it all got fat and wide: CX500, CBX550, XJ550, Suzuki GS550L (got a couple of wheels for that if anyone needs an anchor - used for sizing) + other 'Customs' of that era.

As you may know 17s can he hard to find out in the world - less so with 18s and 19s and whatever CG125s and the like run.

Thanks, saw On Any Sunday when it came out, and again at Ripley this year, brilliant film (if you're into bikes) seems Grants done his share of flat tracking. Always swore by a TT100 on the back of my RDs and usually a second hand KR76 on the front, acquired cheap from the Dunlop race van..... so 17,18 or 19??? decisions decisions

Never had an RD beyond a tank on another bitsa - great looking bike.

Has he really. I thought he was an MX or roadracer.
Grant - pictures of you tucked in and crossed-up at 100mph, pronto!

I was talking to him whilst watching Aldana and co. being foolishly brave (or bravely foolish!). I tried a slower version of it on the beach at Mablethorpe, I came away very pleased that I didn't fall off! The fast blokes are spectacular.

Couldn't possibly run race tyres on the road, especially non standard sizes:innocent: and ones that will only do left handers with the back end hung out, on opposite lock and don't do right handers at all, should be condemned:helpsmilie:
Sorry Chris, this isn't fathoming the hubs......:offtopic:
