No spark

I have a dr650se and it has no spark. I have replaced the stator, the CDI, the starter solenoid, the ignition coil and rebuilt the starter and still no spark. What could it be? Oh yeah it is a 2001 with a Vapor speedometer. HELP PLEASE!

Is the starter motor turning over okay? Then side stand, clutch and kill switches will be fine.

Check for 12V at the input to the coil. AFAIK it should be present when ign is on.
It could be as simple at faulty HT lead from the coil or a bad connection to the plug cap.
Are all the other electrics working when ign is on?

Yeah all lights work and have good continuity to coil. The starter motor turns over but sounds like a dead battery even though it is charged and has a 50amp starter/charger hooked up to it.

Battery could still be suspect. No guarantee it's holding charge.
You coiuld: a) check the voltage across battery, b) try jump starting from aknown good battery. Is that battery pack dependable?
Is it possible to check voltage at coil?
Any change to symptoms since you tinkered with starter and solenoid?
Are both plugs removed and resting on the cyl head?

Going to test battery and power at coil when I get home. I'll let you know when I have tested. Thanks.

12.6V is a start, but it's also common for a battery to have a cell or two that hold voltage but not charge. It will read good voltage, but as soon as you put load (current) on, the voltage will sag to close to zero in that cell. You need to load test it as well, to make sure it's good.

Thanks for the input. So would cranking the engine qualify as a load test?

The battery should be able to hold 9V or more while cranking.
Jump-starting from another vehicle is an easy way to rule out a defective battery.
