Anyone in the UK got a stash of DR350 parts?
I knew my summer trip to the Stans/Russia/Mongolia had took its toll on the bike, so was planning to leave it in a dark corner of the garage till I had the money to do a full strip+rebuild. But felt the need to ride the thing again so delved in the garage today, with the idea to make it rideable without spending any cash.
Camchain proved to be worn to the adjustment limit which I expected, but I had a spare in good condition. Unfortunately removing the rocker cover revealed what I was hoping (but half expecting) I wouldn't see. Bollocksed cam followers, and similar wear to the cam lobes. The cam bearings are still usable so all I need is good rocker arms and maybe a cam (I say maybe because the lobes are only faintly scored so I might get away with polishing them up. Off the earlier non-auto-decomp head. I also need a silencer as the DEP unit on the bike is totally trashed. I know it's a long shot as topend failures are what most of these bikes succomb to.
