Unhappy Acerbis 25ltr tank - where do you find it?!

Hi, I've been looking for the acerbis 25ltr tank for my '97 dr650 for some time and can't find it anywhere on the internet. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated - in the uk would be best but anywhere otherwise. Also, I've heard its not all that straight forward to fit - anyone have one and know exactly what trying to fit it entails?

One last thing, if I have no luck in finding the acerbis tank, I think I'll go for the IMS 4.9 gal but I can't find any distributors in the UK - anyone know any?

Thanks a lot for any help,

Cheers, jasper

I don't know about a big tank in the UK, but you could get one in Germany... may a 30Lt tank (OTR Kunststofftank Suzuki DR650 SE) will do than... cost 525,-Euros new, that's about £370

Kunststoff / GFK

well a Acerbis 24Lt tank for your bike will cost around 360,-Euros off there Web-page further down in the list...........

there are many other big tanks for almost any bike brand as well.........

Have you tried ringing up Acerbis UK. They're based in Luton. Used to be Bert Harkins Racing but got taken over / merged with Acerbis about six months ago. Phone number's the same though: 01582 491076

Smile DR650 Tanks

Hi
I tried to find a large tank for my DR650 last year, the only ones i could find were the IMS tank at 17 litres in white clear or blue, from the USA and the Safari tank at 30 litres in White clear blue yellow red and black they don't always have these colures in stock, from Australia, both will ship to the UK. As far as i know Acerbis only make a large tank for the DR650 models up to 1995.
I have heard of a couple of European companys that make large tanks to order but they are not cheap, you may want to try on the German web site dr650 forum.de [i think this is correct address ] They have some helpful links. Hope this helps Skip

Yes, Acerbis only make a big tank for the old DR and a 16l tank for the SE. In answer to this FAQ I have posted instructions on how to fit the big tank here: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...0se-howto-8445

Any dealer selling Acerbis products should be able to order it for you.
