1978 Suzuki TS185
Ran across this website yesterday and it is packed with a lot of info on the TS185. Had a problem with it running rich and after doing a pressure test, the air intake boot next to the head was leaking and I had compensated for this minor air leak by richening the fuel mixture. After replacing the boot it ran better but still not as rich. After taking the carb apart and making sure it had the correct jets I noticed that the area just below the main jet did not look correct.Went to bikebandit.com and there should be a washer in between the main jet and carb. To attest to the durability and reliablity of the TS185-they are the best! The bike still ran well but smoked and would foul plugs if idled alot. Do not know when the washer disappeared but had a spare carb that had it. Have worked on many 2 strokes and this problem gave me a fit.It now screams and this is the best that it has ever ran. This is an awesome website, Many Thanks,Tim
