1974 Suzuki TS185L in Need of Help

Hey Everyone,
First post, I'm in need of help. I'm new to bikes but looking to get into it. I currently have a 1974 TS185L with 1300 mi/km (Not sure which- I think km) just sat in a garage for the last 30 years, no rust, like show room quality. She runs fine, but the issue is that when the bike gets warm and you rev past 6k. The bike just goes to redline and hangs there and I have to choke it until it dies (the key goes dead when it does this). I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with a similar bike. All the electrical works, carb was just cleaned and it was pushin 100 PSI on the tester.
Any ideas????
Thanks in advanced for anything you can help me with.

P.S. I have had 5 motorcycle guys look at it and all I have gotten is a bunch of people scratching there heads.

Big J

Either a carb needle getting stuck open or the throttle cable binding..?

I just talked to my buddy that was working on it and he was thinking the same thing (the cable, the needle was getting stuck so we cleaned it and it was moving fine when we put the carb back together), now the one other problem is that once it does redline, you can choke it back to idle, but then when you try to get into higher RPM's, it has no power. You can crank on the throttle and it will bog down. you have to ease it back up to higher RPM's by revin it up slowly.

Thanks for the help

Hi there. It's probably worth coming over to www.suzukits.com which was started due to the high hit rate for people looking for TS help who came here to this site.
But anyway, your problem is most likely the left side crank seal, by the sound of it and that can be replaced without opening the engine cases.

Cheers bloke
