west africa freebies

I've just gotten home from my ride up the West Coast and have a few small things surplus that may be useful to someone.

SIM cards - several from Benin upwards.

Michelin Southern and Central Africa map - a bit battered from being in my tank bag but none-the-less the 2007 edition.

I'd like to pass these on to someone who is about to leave for a West Africa trip and don't want anything for them, just buy me a pint if we ever meet!

There's no point asking for the SIM cards unless you're leaving imminently as they are likely to soon expire.

First come first served.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

I see you're offering south and central Africa maps. I'm leaving toward the end of the year from London into Africa. I'll be starting in Egypt and going through east, central and southern Africa.

If my departure date and route match what you're offering, i'd be glad for your battle-scarred maps.

How was your trip?

Hi Discoenduro,
The trip was fantastic from beginning to end. I think to be honest I rushed the last part up through West Africa a bit which meant too much time hanging around for visas etc but then I had to get home so it was do that or nothing. Can't say I would change anything about it.
Happy to send the map on to you. Just send me a private message with your address and I'll get it in the post to you.
Cheers
Richard

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
