Didn't visit that park, but can recommend the Ranch de Gi de Nazinga in Burkina, about 50 click west of Po.

Elephant viewing is terrific ... actually a little too close for comfort if you're not careful!

Good luck...

Never managed to get into the park, but as far as I know you can't cross the borders whilst inside.

We went Ouaga - Fada N'Gourma (Belle Etoile is a great auberge, Ouaga side of Fada on the left as you enter just after the service station (which is on the right). From Fada we crossed into Benin at Nadiagouo (BF) - Porga (Benin) which had the greatest immigration police I've ever met in W.Africa, really friendly.

Tanguieta was where we were intending to get up to the park but didn't. Again, fantastic auberge, Le Baobab on the left as you enter Tanguieta ...

Sorry can't help with actual park details but both auberges will be able to assist!

According to the guide book you can cross the borders inside with no restrictions. I'm guessing formalities would be on exit of the park. We're going to the park in the next couple of days, going into other countries within the park but entering and exiting from Burkina... will update then.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
