Question Visa/Permit for Western Sahara?

Hi folks,

Someone has mentioned that I need a Moroccan "permit" to enter Western Sahara in addition to visa. I never found any confirmation by Googling, the Moroccan embassy phone doesn't answer today. Can someone confirm or deny that info?

I do not need a visa to visit Morocco.

Hi,

You do not need an entry permit for the Western Sahara.
From - e.g. - www.gov.uk:

British nationals visiting as tourists for up to three months do not need a visa. Make sure your passport is stamped when you enter the territory.

Happy travels,

Gee

We entered Western Sahara in 2009. There was no visa or anything else required.

Even inlands of the part of WS occupied by Morocco, you don't need a permit. But military won't be happy if they find you near the berm.

You won't need a special permit but you will want to have multiple copies of your passport and vehicle information for the police checkpoints.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
