Sudan visa from Egypt FOR AMERICANS
 

My wife and I are traveling London-Capetown and are currently in Cairo. However, we have found the information on this site, although valuable, to be very different for those of us with an American passport.

We were told today that in order for us to continue to Sudan we MUST have a sponsor or someone in Khartoum apply for the visa for us at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We contacted the US Embassy and they suggested that there are new travel agencies, based in Sudan possibly, that can assist us with this?

Are there any other Americans who have been successful in obtaining a visa for Sudan? If so, how did you do it?

Try to contact Acropole hotel in Khartoum, owned by a greek family. They normally can help with visa if you book a room for a couple of days. Or try Midhat in Khartoum who owns a travel company. You should find him if you search on this forum.
