Anyone going in a vehicle to Abidjan?

I am flying to Abidjan at this stage in December but have about 80kg of luggage, 15kg of my own stuff & the rest is charity stuff, kids clothes, shoes, games & glasses etc that I am taking for the second time to a kids orphanage.

Royal Air Maroc give me a generous allowance of 40kg but this won't be enough. I'm going to approach them for more.

In the meantime is anyone heading that way to be there in December or January??? If you have space in your vehicle for all this; there will be a roof over your head when you get there!

Thanks

Kira

Hamburg

Hi Kira,
if you can get the stuff cheaply to Hamburg Germany then we have containers regularly going down here to Ghana. Abidjan is a stone's throw so I could easily get it put on a bus and get it delivered - wouldn't probably be there for a good while, but we would definately be shipping before end of November.
Cheers,
Gil

Thanks a million for that offer; getting it to Hamburg could be my next posting!!! From here to Hamburg is quite a feat as I've often been looking at cars to buy in Germany and a lot come up in Hamburg!!!

Will rack my brain on that one, it could work well ... RAM is not budging on letting me take anymore!!!

Thanks again - will be in touch!

Kira

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
