Shipping a car to WA
 

We are planing to ship our old car to Togo (Lome) or Ghana (Tema) from Europe. Which port is easier for customs clearance? We hope to get a LP as we don't have a carnet. Is that a realistic option?
In which port is our car more likely to be wrecked by thieves?

Adding here some other issues:
Ghana ask for the CdP! No way out... at least speaking at Lomé land border post. Also Ghana people tell us that every time you'll be stopped by police, they'll ask for it.

Untill now, it seems to be better shipping to Cotonou.
The cheapest port is Lagos (via Anversa), but it's another story :(
