Roads from Luanda, Angola to Kinshasa, DRC

Here is the route I took and it's current condition.

North from Luanda to the turn-off for Barro do Dande.
-Some construction and bits of crappy road, but mostly just too much traffic.
North on Barro do Dande road to junction with Caxito road.
-Brand new tar.
North of Junction to N'Zeto
-Bad to worse as you go north. road gets more and more broken with mud and sand. North of Musserra it gets lots of deep sand/powder sand, mud and ruts.
N'Zeto to M'Banza Congo.
-All good tar except 30km, starting 75km out from M'Banza which is hard gravel waiting for tar.
M'Banza Congo to Luvo border crossing.
-Once again terrible. It was dry for me and still very bad in places. Reading about people doing it in the wet makes me shudder.
Luvo- Songololo, DRC
-Decent gravel, light corrugation, very minor ruts.
Songololo-Kinshasa
-Good to excellent tar. No pot holes or ruts.

On another note, I first did the Luanda-Caxito-Uige-Negage-Maquela do Zombo-Banza Sosso border crossing route. It is 100% good to excellent tar to Maquela do Zombo (I didn't go further because of bike issues). I was told about and shown pictures of the DRC side of this route and decided that maybe I'd like to see more of Angola and try a different route... Check out AMIGOS DA PICADA under 'galeria' and go to the Raid Kinshasa for an idea of the road conditions (from my understanding, nothing has changed).
