Guinea roads

Koundara Boke is piste all doable in a 2 wheel drive, maybe two small mountains, gets difficult in rainy season.
Boke via Conakry to Mamou and Kouroussa is all sealed.
Guinea is my favorite country
This Fab Trek - my big world journey: Guinea|Guinee
I am happy there is other people going.
Enjoy Manfred

Thanks for the info!

Are there any alternative routes in rainy season?

Do you have to go via conakry?

Thanks

Koundara to Labe

Well you would have to reach Labe, Labe is at 1000m altitude, from Labe on it's sealed to Mamou. I don't know all the roads in the north. They can be very bad. because mountainouse, and repeatedly distroyed during the rainy season. Some roads are definetely undoable, others may be good enough, investigate with taxi drivers in Koundara.
The good thing Koundara Boke is it is flat, latarite piste. 300km.
