NEW - Selling Cars in Africa - RHD?
i have followed much of the correspondance on this site regarding travelling by car to West Africa to sell cars.
Subsequently I am planning to travel to Mali, to avoid any border problems in Mauretania, where i will sell my cars in Bamako. Seems rather simplified though i know it isn't. I am able to obtain pretty cheap Merc's diesel babies, however i wonder if anyone is aware what the locals think of Right Hand Drive, or is that totally preposterous? Secondly would be more than happy to get together with others who are up for this jaunt. Looking to have a laugh in Maroc also.

Gambia doesn't like RHD, most other countries do. they have loads of Scrap LHD's to convert them.

Its no problem selling a RHD, if it is a Merc diesel, but expect a fair bit less than the equivalent price for a RHD. It will have at least scrap worth if nothing else.
Obviously some potential buyers will be put off by it and a lot of people will whinge about it but this is usually to get the price down.
