Mozambique Visa at border?
Hi all,
anyone know whether they will issue visas at the border upon entry to Mozambique? I've tried calling all the Mozambique consulates/embassies in South Africa (where I am at the moment)and they seem to all be closed for Christmas... Ta in advance, Ben |

Hi Ben, I came into Moz from Malawi 2 weeks ago on a Brit passport and picked up a visa at the border no probs. Moz dosn't recognise the international carnet or the yellow card so you will have to get a temp vehicle import US$5 and 1 months insurance US$12, still, the prawns are big but the potholes are bigger and in wet weather have crocs. (I lie, only a big monitor lizard) Ride safe, Mike

hey i also came from malawi to moz, but around november 2004. They didn't let me out of Malawi without a visa to Mozambique. It was the border post nearby Mulanje Mountains. Advice is to get the visa before you enter, since it's also very easy to obtain at any Mozambique embassy, takes one day and doesn't require you to do much.
