Mechanic in Dar es Salaam?

Hello,

I am looking for a good mechanic in Dar that can help me with the final drive on my BMW 1150 GS. Can someone make a recommendation?

Thanks!
Mike

A mate was stuck in Dar about 5 month ago and had the same problem, with a big bmw. He didn't find anybody and managed to do it himself.

Sorry I can't be more helpful....

Maybe....

1. Ask Dale the Australian manager at Kipepeo, he might know.

2. Ask 'Big John' who once a week pops into Mikadi for a if he knows anybody

3. Ask a young guy who works at the official Bosch dealership if he knows, as he rode a big KTM. He is one of the few there who speaks good english, tall and skinny....

Good luck ;-)

I had some work done on my bike with a half decent mechanic speaking half decent English in town. Supposedly, he is the only one that works on big bikes - mainly (police) Honda's though. Finding BMW parts is going to be a challenge.

Forgot his name, lost the number with the sim card, but this is the location on Google Maps:

Dar Mechanic

You'll see some small bikes lined up, hard to miss.

Good luck!
